We had a great day of family, food, fun, fireworks, festivities, fireworks, and fire :)
We had plenty of ammo for the day, and Michael was the king of sneaking into them early and shooting off as many as we would let him.
We had many friends come and celebrate with us. We were so blessed to fill the fourth with many people that we love!
Then came the food! We barbequed, and I cooked much of the day before that. It was very fun to eat outside and enjoy the beautiful Tennessee summer day.
THEN WE BLEW STUFF UP!!!
exploding fruit....
sparklers galore...
Some you run from....
smoke ones...
and ones you throw...
And so so so many more! we enjoyed all of them.
They were even better in the dark!
One of our new favorites is called the fire lantern. You light a wax block, and it acts like a hot air balloon, and floats off into the night sky..
We hope that your independence day celebration was a great as ours! We were especially thankful for all of the service men and women that sacrifice so much for us here at home! There are many people that have served over seas that we love and care for, and we thought of everyone in the service, especially our cousin Joel who is overseas now doing that very thing. We love you Joel, and thank you to all the military being brave for us!
Thanks for sharing in our adventures!
Love,
Team Oakley
