We both had not been to a padre game in a very very long time. And many who know Beka knows she is not too into baseball, and many who know Michael know he would much rather see a play than a sporting event, but we both agree that going to a padre game is one of the most fun things that you can do in beautiful San Diego. It is more about the atmosphere, the company, and being downtown in America's finest city than it is about baseball. We carpooled with Ro downtown and met Timmy there after work. We had a great time walking downtown to the stadium. For those of you who have never been, it is smack dab in the middle of down town. It is called petco park, and it was built around old buildings that they kept a part of the stadium. It is a pretty cool sight.
We had wonderful seats. They were not right by Ro and Tim, so we had to text them to figure out what all of the RBI jibber jabber meant on the score board, and when something came up, if it meant we were doing well or not. They were super good sports about helping us figure it out :) It was sunny and warm that day, and we sat in the sun, and enjoyed the fun sights of the game. There is always so much to do and see. The people watching alone is a spectator sport (one that Beka and Michael were much better at understanding that the baseball game, but they were quick learners :)
We Loved the time we got to spend there, and we are so thankful for this, and everything else that Ro and Timmy so selflessly gave to us!
They make it hard to leave such good people and such a wonderful place!
Well, that was our adventure of the day. Thanks for sharing it with us!
Until the next one!
Team Oakley
