Walking date: two days away from Emery

So we are two days away from our due date, and walking makes Beka feel better, so walk Team Oakley will! We call these 'walk dates'.

Michael and Beka went to a local strip mall, and walked and walked and walked, and looked for fun things to see and experience.

Here is a fun buddy that we found hanging out in a very beautiful flower. He stayed long enough for us to snap some shots.

There was also a barn near the strip mall that we were able to go and sneek a peek at. It is still so weird to us that this site is literally feet away from the Kohls in town. 

If it was not summer, and the grass around the barn was not crawling with little creatures that bite and itch, we would have ventured closer to see what was inside, but our better judgment won out. The bugs out here can eat you alive.

In the landscaping at the front of Kohls was this mushroom in the midst of the wood chips. It was all alone, and so pretty! We just stared for a while, and probably looked crazy! 

After Kohls we walked to books-a-million and had some quality family time reading Dr. Suess books to Emery. Michael Even donned the appropriate gear to do so. 

So that is it! That was our walking adventure. We never need much time, notice, or money to make memories out of our everyday events. We love that each day is an adventure to us, and we cannot wait to bring along Emery into those adventure, and teach him that everyday has something great and beautiful to offer..even if it is as little as a mushroom.
