Grandma and Grand-pop visit Emery!

Oh how loved Mr. Emery is! There are people coming from all over the US to come and meet this little guy! This October Beka's mom and step dad (steve pop) came from San Diego CA to meet the famous little one.

Grandma Caroline came out first, and had a full week of sweet Emery all to herself! We did not do much  sight seeing in this week. All grandma Caroline wanted to see was the face of this little bug. And all Emery wanted to do was sleep on his new "Grandma Chair". They bonded very quickly, and it was a blissful week for Grandma, Emery, and Michael and Beka, who got to take naps, sleep in, and let someone else change diapers!

Grandma Caroline has a great talent in crocheting goods of all kinds (go to http://www.etsy.com/people/Myfriendcaroline to see more! We know we are partial to her, but she is really good! ). She came with a fun pumpkin hat for Emery. His head, however, had grown a bit more than expected, so it turned from pumpkin to squash hat. Either way, Emery loved it! She also brought some cute handmade flowers for Beka's hair, and made Michael a  cap (his new favorite one) while she was here. She also found the glory that is hobby lobby (there are none in San Diego) and bought some more yarn to make Emery a hat to match Michael's!

There were many fun times in her visit, and many warm moments. Some of the best ones were bath times! Emery loved being washed and warm and then snuggling close to Grandma and falling asleep!

After a week of Emery bliss, Grandma was joined by Grand-Pop Steve. Together they got to celebrate Grandma's birthday with Beka, Michael, and baby Emery. They got some sight seeing in while he was here, and they enjoyed being together, basking in the glory of the sweet little bug.

Emery took to Grand-Pop Steve pretty quickly. We think it was because of the riveting stories that he told Emery. Emery's face would light up with every new twist and turn in Grand-Pop's wild adventures! He would listen to every word that came out of Grand-Pop's mouth with a smile and wide eyes! He loved them!

He also loved Grandma's stories. Though not as adventurous as Grand-pop's, Emery would listen intently to anything she read to him, as long as he could bury in close.  She was his favorite snuggle spot.

It was a fun visit for all, and it will be remembered by Grandma and Grand-pop forever. Emery is going to grow faster than anyone wants, but they will always have this time, when he was so little, to hold near to their hearts.

It was a great adventure! Thanks for sharing it with us!

Love
