We Moved!!!

Right after our trip to San Diego, Team Oakley was met by the impending doom of what we had left behind....a move in two days. We only had two days to move to our new rental. We were so excited to upgrade to a house from a duplex, and a bigger back yard! but as it worked out, we need to be out of our place, and into the new, in just two days! And more than that, there was a huge snow storm on the way for day two, which left us with just one day!

Fortunately, we have lots of people around here that love us very much. One of our friends heard we were in a bit of a pickle, and called many more of our friends to help. All of a sudden, about five trucks and SUVs showed up to the duplex, and said "where do you want us to start?" It was so awesome! we moved the WHOLE house in about 4 hours! Nothing was in boxes either! Everything just went from house #1, to new house #2! It was such a help and a blessing! Sure enough the next day, it snowed without mercy. We were so thankful to have it all done!

With all of the craziness in moving, the cats found a safe place high atop the fridge, and stayed there until it was safe for them to come down.

Then, the time that Team Oakley dreads the most in a move, putting the cats in the carriers. They HATE being in there, and cry, whine, and growl until they are let loose, so we saved this special torture for last.

Once safe in the new place, the again found refuge atop a new fridge, in a strange place.

As I said before, we did not move with boxes. Thus this is what our new place looked like:

There was much to do in the Oakley Home, but we were moved, and safe from the impending storm. Good thing to, as we woke the next morning of blankets of white a top our new, beautiful rental home.

We are so glad to be in this cute little three bedroom one bathroom. It is now fully unpacked, and feels homey and welcoming.

Thanks for sharing this adventure with us!

Love,
Team Oakley
