Emery has his very first birthday party to go to today! His friend Pax is turning one year old!
Emery was very excited to pick his friend out a toy. We went to the store, and Beka let him roam and wander until he found that special gift. He picked out a huge bag of soil at first, so Beka helped him a bit by bringing him to the toy isle. After that it was all over...
Emery found the most perfect toy for his 1 year old friend...a ball! Emery picked one for himself too. He is so thoughtful.
He dropped these balls about five times before we got to the cash register. He would say 'oh no!' then chase the balls down the isle. He would pick one up, then bend down to pick the other one up, and drop the one he had in his hands. It was comical, but he made it to the cashier! We bought the toys, along with the gift bag and tissue paper. We had done it! We bought our first gift for Emery's first birthday party!
Once we got to the party, Emery found some rocks...lots of rocks. His friend had a gravel driveway. Emery played there for about 10 mins before Beka had to scoop him up to join all the other humans in the party.
We could only stay for a bit, but Emery loved seeing his friend, playing with the kids he had not met before, and exploring his friend's house. It was a blast! Thanks for inviting us, Pax!
Once we were home, it was dinner time.
Emery LOVES helping, so Beka put him to work on cooking some food. He did such a great job! He stirred the spaghetti like a pro! He did very well to listen, to not touch the hot stove, and to balance on the chair. Beka was rather impressed. Maybe this boy with be a chef!
After our dinner was cooked, we ate! Eating is the best part of cooking! Emery loves to eat, and he def enjoyed the fruit of his labor.
It was a great day, and we had a blast shopping, socializing, and stuffing our faces!
