3-23-13 spring hill easter egg hunt

We love our city! Each year we get to put on a community wide easter egg hunt for our sweet town of Spring Hill TN! And this is no small work! We gather donations, eggs, and stuffing for over 20k eggs! We stuff them all, hide them all, and put together an activity fields for families....all for free to our sweet community!

Beka usually helps plan this event, but due to a recent surgery she sat this one out. This meant she could go with Emery to just enjoy! Last year he was just a loaf, so it was fun for him to get excited!

He got a sesame street pail to get the eggs in. He loved it!

Before the hunt for his age group we played in the activity field.

They had empty eggs for kids two and under, but Emery was not interested. He would pick one up, open it, see it was empty, then throw it over his shoulder and try the next one. It was so funny!

Emery LOVED the music and seeing all the people!

He was busting a move, and making everyone smile

When it came time for his hunt, he was so excited! It was hard for him to wait.

He passed the time by picking grass and filling his pail. How resourceful.

Then he found his Nana, and his wait was much easier.

Then it was.....

TIME!!!

He was off!

He knew just what to do!

He was not so concerned with quantity, it was all about quality. He opened each one he found to make sure he liked what was inside.

He got some fun stuff! Mostly stickers were the hit.

After the treasures Emery had more fun exploring!

Then he saw a friend, Tyler, and grabbed him by the hand and took off! Good to know he isn't shy :D

Emery and his friend went to the parachute! Beka LOVED this as a kid so it was fun to see Emery enjoy it (and terrifying when he would run in...and not out again)

Overall, our easter egg hunt was....pretty cool.

Thanks for sharing in this memory with us!

Love and easter eggs,

Team Oakley
