Team Oakley loves to make mundane tasks exciting. This is mostly through Michael's shenanigans, Emery's cuteness, and Beka's willingness to go along with it (and that fact that she is the one who takes all the pictures).
So when we went grocery shopping to stock up our home from being out of town, the fun began.
We went to our local Kroger, and Michael put Emery on the Dog food to be silly
When Emery thought it was so funny, we had to do it more.
The birdseed.
Then some water.
...with a silly face.
And there were so many more that we didn't get photos of! Emery was owning that grocery store par corps style!
After all that fun, Emery got hungry. We have one of these car seat covers....and yes, it's pink. We thought it was blue, and we did not open it until Emery could sit up (five months), and when we did, it was pink, and too late to return it. So pink it is. Beka will sew some fabric over the pink later to avoid the "she is so cute!"s that we are already getting.
So we have this car seat thing, and he needs to lay down to drink his bottle, so he got comfy and ate! We got some funny looks, but we make the rules, and this worked best for us. Drink up buddy! We will guard you from any stares or girl references.
Don't mind us, we are just grocery shopping with a baby laying in the cart. No big deal.
It was also helpful for emery to lay like that so he could hold our bread. It is a very important job, and we were thankful that he was up for the task.
Then the responsibility went to his head.
Bread head.
Once all the fun was had, we checked out and went home. It was a fun trip, and we entertained ourselves fully.
