It has been YEARS since Team Oakley has played the game of life. We have been far to busy doing the real thing! In fact out board game was still in the plastic! We had not seen our friends Nate and Heather, (who are engaged, so they will be getting to REALLY play the real thing soon) in a while, so we had them over for dinner and some games. Its our favorite things to do with our friends (in fact, if you read this, give us a call! We'd love to challenge you to the board game of your choice...except munchkin).
After we went through the toil of popping out all the pieces, as the game was brand new (for 5 years!), it was time to dive in....into LIFE!
Before the game even began, there was a tragedy with the cars...oops. You know what the say about those crazy woman drivers..
Then, after Michael Oakley chose NOT to go to college (tisk tisk....kids, do not try this at home!), he chose his career.....and look what he pulled. Oh so funny.
We laughed, we sighed, we lived our ideal, and sometimes our REAL lives. It was so fun to have an almost out of life, life experience! It is a long game, and it can make you question the paths you have taken in the past, but it was a hoot! If you own this game, bust it out! Open a bottle of wine, and play some life.
Our hope for you, my friends, is that you get a the Doctor card, miss the tax penalties, win the lottery, and have as many babies as you wish.....
And ALWAYS buy insurance!
