5-17-30 Team Oakley on the move...AGAIN!

Michael and Beka have been together almost a decade now. Just over half of that they have been married. Are you ready for another shocking fact...

We have never spent Christmas in the same house....EVER! We have moved THAT MAY TIMES! We both loathe moving, but we always find a good reason to go through that headache. And we are gluttons for punishment, so guess what...we moved again!

We had been renting a large house when Beka's little sister lived with us, but now that she is out on her own, we decided to downsize again...and that, my friends, means we bust out the boxes and bubble wrap...Team Oakley is on the move!

We looked for a while and found a house that we LOVED! Every aspect of it was adorable, and it had a wonderful, private back yard, and a work shop for Beka! It was literally the house of our dreams, in walking distance to a park, and under our budget! We were so joyous of our find!

We didn't get that house....

It was a HUGE bummer, and actually took a while to recover from. We thought we had it for weeks, until they chose a couple with no pets (we have two house trained cats). It was quite the disappointment. We were all very sad. We fell in love with this house.

So we moved to plan B. A house we were ok with, but did not love. It fits us well, we are just south of where we want, and we have had issues with the rental agency. We predict a move in our future, soon, but for now we are here. And we will live in the present... in this house.

This house has a cute storage space and nice back yard.

There are no tress, but he neighbors have one that comes into our yard, so we are claiming it as our own :D We really love trees.

There is an old dog run that we have gotten permission to till for a garden. There will for sure be posts about that in the future! Stay tuned!

The front is cute.

When we got the keys Beka was out of town for work, and Michael sent her this photo. It was a happy text! Though it was not where we wanted to be, it was nice to get the process started.

Here is the living room! If you want to know why there is tape everywhere, that is because Beka is a planner. She is very detailed and very organized. She maps out where every piece of furniture and every art piece goes before the move happens, to lessen the chaos that moving innately brings.

Dining room

The kitchen is a not great, but it will do. No kitchen can stop the cooking and baking power of Beka!

The hall

And it has three bedrooms.

And two bathrooms. One in the hall, and one is private in the master, which is always nice.

The master is a good size, which is a plus.

We are not thrilled at this move, but we have always had a safe home to call our own, and we are thankful. Just check in throughout this year, you may see a post that resembles this one about the next move.

Until then!

Team Oakley....always on the move!
