Lunch with great Gma and Gpa 7-29-12

Happy sunday to you all! We are celebrating this great summer day by having lunch at Cracker Barrel with Michael's Grandma Jackie and Grandpa Bob (Emery GREAT Grant Parents. We emphasize great, because we think they are great!)

Grandma and Grandpa wanted to treat Team Oakley to lunch, we meet them at The Cracker Barrel. It was sunday, so there was a wait. We did not mind though. We took advantage of the rockers out front and the great summer weather. They even had a little Emery sized rocker!

He was not sure about it at first...

Then he got REALLY excited! 

While we were waiting, Emery made a friend! Emery does not have any kids in his sunday school class, no cousins, and we have some friends with babies, but they are much younger than Emery, and are not big enough to play yet. We sometimes worry about how he will interact with other kids. All we can go on is how he interacts with our cats, and in that case he jumps on them and hugs them until they can hardly breath, then he kisses them to death! So....good luck future Emery friends! 

So when this little boy came to say hi, Beka almost jumped out of her rocker to make sure Emery did not smother this poor kid. But Emery, as with everything in his life, did surpassingly awesome. He warmed up to the little boy, and loved being played with. 

Though he did not jump on this kid and smother him, he did pet his head....Note to self - get Emery some HUMAN friends. 

After the boy got called away and into the restaurant, Emery just enjoyed being near his Great. 

Beka caught this sweet photo of Emery just staring in awe, with those big, lovie eyes, at his Great Grandma. Such a sweet and special moment. 

We chatted, gave snuggles, and relished our time with Grandma and Grandpa. 

We had a great lunch, with wonderful food and conversation. We are so fortunate to have such great Grandparents in our life. We are also so thankful that Emery is growing up with them in his life. We could not be happier! We love you Great Grandma Jackie and Grandpa Bob! 

If you have grandparents or Great Grandparents still around, go give them some love and treasure them for the treasure they are.
