The Farmer's Market and The Factory 7-7-12

Hello Friends! It is a scorcher out here today!

Whew!!! Team Oakley has a free saturday, and we were thinking about going on a hike, but the hot weather won out. Instead we went to the Franklin Farmer's Market at the Factory!

We had Roxanne to help keep us company on our hot adventure, and Emery was looking very cool in his new hat from his Aunt Rosanna.

It was very fun to walk all through the farmer's market. They have everything here; produce, meats, honey, bread, milk, cheese, food trucks, and handmade goods, all from local vendors!

Team Oakley loves to go to things like this as a family or date day. It is free, it supports the local economy, and there are so many sights, sounds, and smells to discover!

After the market had ended, we headed inside the Factory. This is a shopping center, kind of like a mall, but it is in the old Factory (hence the name). It is very cool, and draws very modern and artsy shops, conventions, shows, and resturants. There are lots to see and do and taste and buy here!

There is also a huge rocking chair, which we all took a turn looking silly in.

We had a great time walking through the shops, and seeing the fun things. Emery had the best view of us all.

After a while in the air conditioning, we headed home to continue the rest of our Saturday adventure; Emery is going swimming for the first time!!! Stay Tuned!

Love,

Team Oakley
