Sister's in town...and one is staying!!! 6-20-12

Oh how sweet it is to have family around, especially if they do not live close. So when Beka’s sister’s visited Team Oakley in TN, there was much love to fill Team Oakley’s new house.

Speaking of new house, Emery had found a new favorite toy…the box. Peek a boo!

The reason of the sister’s trip out here was to set Beka’s little sister up for her future endeavors in TN… that’s right folks, Beka sister is staying in the south!

Roxanne, the older of Beka’s two little sisters, is transferring to MTSU to finish her undergrad in psychology. She will be living with Team Oakley for a while, to make the transition to being on her own, and in a new place, easier.

So Beka’s older sister, Rochelle, flew herself and Roxanne, and lots of Roxanne’s things, out to TN. Rochelle stayed for a few days and spoiled Roxanne with time, love, and trips to Lowes and Target to help get her room all set up out here. She even spoiled Team Oakley with a brand new Kerig coffee maker! Ours had been struggling for a few months, and the combination of her need for coffee, and her overwhelming generosity and love for her siblings led her to come home with a great gift for our home. Thanks Ro!

While Rochelle was in Town, we took her to Marcy Jo’s, a favorite breakfast stop for Team Oakley. Emery had a good time sitting on the swing, and flirting with all the waitresses. He is pretty good at it.

We also watched lots of soccer, as the UEFA cup was on. Emery got really  into the games. He would sit on Beka’s lap, and as she would clap and yell at the TV, so would he. Atta boy J

So all in all it was a great time. Rochelle loved spoiling her siblings and cuddling her newphew, Roxanne’s room got decorated beautifully (thanks in most part to Pinterest), and Beka got time with her favorite people in the world (and a new coffee maker!).

Here is the finished product of Roxanne's room.

And though it is always hard to say goodbye to family, it hurt a bit less for Team Oakley to know that silly Roxanne would be staying here with us. It was evident it would be a good time for all.

Hooray for family! Go hug yours.

Love,

Team Oakley
