The World (starbucks) Famous Emery! 7-30-12

Warning! This blog post is full of parental bragging!

In the United States of America there is a state called Tennessee. In this state called Tennessee there is a town called Franklin. In this town called Franklin there is a coffee shop called Starbucks. In this coffee shop called Starbucks there is a photo that hangs of the most cutest boy that ever did live. That boy's name is Emery.

This is his photo:

A few weeks ago Beka was in said Starbucks and saw that there were photos hanging on the wall.

There was a tiny sign that said that if you emailed photos to this company, and they liked them, your photo could end up on this wall. This photo should speak to what Nashville means to you in a photo. So Beka fired off this photo of Emery in his Dad's headphones, and his bulging cheeks, and did not think about it again. That is until, weeks later, Michael got a text from a friend that said "I just saw Emery's photo in Starbucks!"

So we had to go and see our precious, and now wall worthy son hanging proudly for all to see. This was not a contest, but we knew that by Emery hanging in their shop, Starbucks was declaring to Franklin, to the state of Tennessee and to all in this great nation "this is the cutest kid of all time! Bask in his cheeks!" So, beaming with joy and pride, we took our great friends Kevin and Kristen, who are also Emery's God Parents (known as Godmomma K and Pep Pep) to bask in the joy of our first born, and OH HOW WE BASKED! We got there about ten minuets before they closed, so there were not many people in the shop, but that did not stop us from telling everyone who would hear us that that was our son! Kristen and Kevin almost yelled "that is our Godson!" It was a sweet, boastful moment of parental and godparental pride indeed!

We know we are maybe, possibly, probably not, over-exaggerating a tiny, little smidgen. But that is out SON! With whom we are well pleased! We can't help it!!!

Thanks for putting up with the nonsense :)

Love,

Team Oakley
