12-1-12 The Franklin Christmas Parade.

Tis the season to be in a parade!

It is the first saturday of Decemmber, therefore it is the time to board our Mercy's children's clinic float (where Michael's mom works) in the Franklin Christmas Parade and get our wave on! Last year Emery was just a wee one on this fine day, so though he was adorable as I'll get out as a santa, he was not able to have fun on his own. Now, this year, as a grown man, he was very excited to experience this fun day.

In fact he felt so grown up that he donned his knitted beard to this very occasion. How manly of him.

Before the parade we stopped in franklin to get something to eat. We found our favorite chain of baja mexican food, taco express. They are from our home town of San Diego CA! You cannot go wrong there!

We all dressed in plaid for this occasion. Could the Oakley men get more handsome? We thinks not!

After we all were full and happy, we set out to find our ride in the parade.

We have no photos of us on the float because we were so busy having a fantastic time! Emery LOVES waving at people (does it in any and all restaurants and stores, and we catch him waving to cars from the back seat occasionally), so he was in bliss during the parade! He waved, and waved, and waved, and WAVED!!! Michael and Beka had prepared to exit early if he got cranky, but he was a good sport the whole way through! He was as joyful as could be, and we all had a great time.

If you are in TN around this time, then you should def check out this parade! It is so fun and a great way to get into the Christmas spirit!

Tis the season! Stay tuned for more festive blog posts!

Love,

Team Oakley
