12-3-12 It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Though Team Oakley has not got our tree yet, we needed a little Christmas, right this very minute!

So we busted out our beloved box of Christmas bobbles! This is one of our most favorite things to do during this season, so we made the most of it with Christmas music, candles, hot tea and cocoa, family, and taking lots of photos!

Emery was VERY interested in it all. He donned some gay apparel himself in the form on tinsel.

He loved going though all the ornaments and discover each one for the first time. What a curious bug he is!

Each decoration and ornament means something special to us. We do not have much, but the things we have we display proudly. This banner was given to Beka from her Grandma Ninteman when she and Michael married. The cookie and candy holders, and the cat (missing his tail) were given to us from friends and family.

The nativity here is from Beka's Grandma Ninteman, and the wood piece was made by her late Grandpa Hamlet. The nutcracker was a gift as well, and Emery got this bear from Ms. Janine on Thanksgiving. It is his second ornament from her!

Michael had a great idea to put the lights in the fireplace. We don't use it much now, as Emery is, like we previously stated, a curious bug. This way it is decorative and safe from little fingers!

Beka hung some ornaments over the table to bring the love and spirit into the kitchen.

We lit the board behind the tv to ground the room with lights.

Further int he kitchen Michael, again, came up with something fun with the lights!

And it all would not be complete without Emery's new nativity from his Nana and Nunu. It is veggie tales, and Jesus is a baby carrot.

Now that all the stockings and else were hung with care, we feel like Christmas is really here!

We hope you all are enjoying the season! Happy Holidays!

Love
Team Oakley
