12-27-12 Fun day out!

Is there anything better than playing with all the toys you just got for Christmas? We don't think so. We were so excited about the joy that just was Christmas, that we took the whole day off to play together and have what we call a 'fun day'! Michael started his fun day with some video games and the new head phones he got.

Then we all went to lunch at five guys fries and burgers. Emery ate a grilled cheese for the first time, and loved it! We loved seeing his little bite marks.

After we ate Emery made friends with just about everybody in the restaurant. He would go up to their table, wave to them, show them his new Christmas shirt, then walk to the next table. It was adorable!

Then we went to Starbucks for some Christmas coffee love! The problem with this is so did everyone else in middle TN. From line to coffee in hand it took us ONE HOUR! Crazy! Emery and Beka played and played outside in the cold while Michael braved the line. Emery was looking cute all bundled up like he was.

Emery had fun inside of starbucks too. He found a nice young man, and wanted to sit across from him and talk. The young man was more than happy to have an intelligent conversation with this little guy.

After the long wait at starbucks we headed to the mall to make some Christmas returns. Emery was a good boy though the shopping, so we rewarded him with some play time in the kids zone. He ran and jumped and played. He plays very well with others, we just have to keep him from hugging and kissing every child in sight. We think it's cute, but not all parents do.

After the play area Emery walked up to the toy cars and wanted to get in. We thought that was cool and put him in and turned the thing on....we were wrong.

Once the thing started moving and jerking it scared Emery to tears.

No fun after all. Once we got some snuggles in he was recovered. Note to self: Emery does not like bubbles, finger painting, or toy car rides. What a kid he is!

After that we went home to play with more toys! Emery was loving being silly in his soccer net from nana.

After we wiped ourselves out with playing, we put Emery to bed and watched an old classic movie; the Swiss family Robinson.

We watched and ate homemade vegan chili.

What a wonderful fun day it was. We hope you get in some fun days soon too! They don't have to be extravagant, but you do have to have fun!

Fun to all!
