Though our house is already decorated, it does not feel complete without a tree! So the first free night Michael, Beka, Emery, and Roxanne, Beka's sister, had at the same time we set out to find one.
We first went to Lowes to see what they had. It was VERY cold, and Emery was adorable in his little puffer jacket.
As you can see the whole idea of getting a tree was quite thrilling to him.
We found a tree that played music, so Emery stopped to dance. The video of this is at the bottom. It is precious! This boy has got some groovy moves!
After each song Emery would sign 'more' and wait until more music played so he could DANCE DANCE DANCE some more!
I asked Emery to give the tree some love, and this is what he did. I guess tilting your head like you would when you hug someone is the same thing :D
Then his auntie joined us and got in on the dancing action. Those two are trouble together.
We did not find the right tree at lowes, but Michael had a great time talking LED and lights with an employee there. He likes making new friends.
As Michael was chatting it up Emery and his Nini had some fun around the store. Like I said...TROUBLE!
After shenanigans were had, we went to Home Depot. And alas! We found just the right tree at just the right price! It was perfect and Emery sized.
It was so cold out that Michael's glassed fogged up while bringing that prized tree home.
And here it is in all of it's mis-matched glory! We love trees that are loud, bright, and have LOTS of character (just like Team Oakley :)
