10/6/12 Country Ham fest!

The Ham Fest! Team Oakley looks forward to it every year! Last year Emery was only a wee little one, and now he is walking all over the festival, saying hi to everyone he meets, and dancing to the music.

It was a very sunny day. There was a chill in the air, but nothing a scarf and a hat can't solve.

So last year we had to pay for parking. This year we thought that we would OUTSMART the festival and park at the park across the street and just walk. Well it was a longer walk than we expected (with the stroller) and when we got to the front gate we found out that parking was free this year... Oh well, at least we got some extra exercise.

Emery was warm in his bear ears and ready to explore the festival!

Meet the coolest bear there ever was.

Once Emery could get free from the stroller he was off! There was so much to do, see, smell, feel, and experience!

He LOVED seeing all the fun colors in the bounce area. It will not be long before little Emery bear is playing in those things!

It did not take Emery very long to find the petting zoo!

He just wanted to kiss all the animal friends right on the mouth!

We kept him from kissing the animals on the mouth, but there was no way we could keep Emery from hugging all the animals.

He would hug one, then find another, hug that one, and move on. He was spreading the love all around!

Emery's Nana was there to take some awesome photos.

After all that animal goodness Emery was real thirsty! We refreshed then continued to see more things...

Like a real fire truck! Emery got to be a fireman and explore with Michael!

Emery says YAY for the fire truck!

Emery also got a balloon!

Then Emery got too excited and tried to hug his balloon, on the grass. It popped. He was fine, it did not even phase him. He just kept looking at the balloon, wondering why it got so much smaller all of a sudden. He was very curious.

While Emery was down on the ground, trying to figure out the balloon mishap, he found something that caught his attention... A HUGE ROCK!

As you can see from his face, he was just a little excited about his treasure.

He held it high for all the world to see!!!

Oh, and here is another one mom!

After we safely stored his new treasures in his stroller, we kept exploring the rest of the festival. Emery got to play a toss game with three little piggies. He would set them gently in the hole, then say YAY and raise his hands high in victory!

YAY!!!

After his pig victory, Emery kept on his exploring adventure!

He loved the music, as always.

He also got to color a pumpkin! And he took a small bite out of it. Oops.

He loved having his Nana there to snuggle him and take great photos!

The setting was beautiful, as usual!

Beka got a an I heart spring hill shirt. The money goes to our local food bank.

And we do heart spring hill! It is festivals like this that make us love this place year after year.

Thanks for coming along with us! It was a fantastic day, and all three members of Team Oakley had a great time.

Until the next adventure,

Team Oakley
