9/3/12 Team Oakley's fun day out!

Team Oakley prides ourselves in being active and staying busy. But sometimes we are too busy to spend time all together, and there is only three of us! So when we have a free day we make sure to have some fun as a family.

That was this day is folks, it is a family-fun-be-together-day!

It started as all family-fun-be-together-days should...with a baby in a box of course!

We all took our time getting ready and headed out to lunch. We went to Buffalo Wild Wings...yummy! It is one of Michael's favorites to go to. He has tried all of their sauces! Even the crazy for eating this one! They are good at making black bean burgers, and their salads are quite tasty as well, so it is a family friendly food choice for us.

Emery was feeling extra silly that day. He got a hold of a straw and just cracked himself and us up!

Our food took a bit longer than expected, and Emery gets antsy sitting in front of an empty table for too long. But, so does Michael! So once those bored feelings set in for the both of them, they were off to explore the restaurant! They ended up playing a driving arcade game together. It was pretty cute.

Once our food came we all reunited at the table to chow down. Emery was all about some celery!

We ate and ate and had a great time. The food was delish, as always!

After lunch we headed to Miller's Thrillers to see how the woods was coming along. Each year Michael helps our friends, the Millers (they have a baby right around Emery's age too!), put on a haunted woods. Michael is the acting coach and front of house manager.

They recently moved locations for the haunt, and we were very excited to walk all the trails that would soon be spookified! It was not scary yet though, it was BEAUTIFUL! Emery was distracted by all the wonderful creation around him.

After our great walk outside and a fantastic lunch, we were ready to head home. The rest of the day was spent in comfy clothes snuggling and wrestling until bedtime.

It was not an extravagant day, but when you miss the people you love most in life the smallest memories can be the most special.

Thanks for sharing our day with us!

Love, team Oakley
