Now that Mr. Emery is one year old, can walk, and has his own tricycle, he is basically a full gown man. And man oh man does this little man like to collect treasures on our walks!
He cannot get enough rocks! He loves them! He will hold them for hours like they are pure, precious gold.
Sometimes he lets us hold them if he is getting changed or getting ready for a bath. We protect his treasures as if they were our very own!
Most of the time he takes baths with his rocks. You can never be too careful.
Every walk he finds some kind of new treasure. AND HE GETS SO EXCITED WHEN HE DOES!
Sometimes he dabbles in the leaf collection business, but he mostly sticks to what he knows, and that is rocks.
Sometimes we take him to magical places lined with gravel...I mean treasures!
Sometimes he finds really big dirt clods, and keeps them safe too.
Then there are times when he takes rocks from the fountain outside our grocery store. It didn't matter why the treasures were out in the open, all polished and wet. All that mattered to him was that they were wonderful, and in reach.
He loves to show Daddy his rocks! They both get VERY excited about his finds!
Oh what a mighty and brave treasure hunter he is! A rock in each hand, and a curiosity to never stop looking for the perfect souvenir.
